Daddy's Little Helper

Cooper wants to do everything his daddy does. He is such a boy. Right now he is fascinated by lawn mowers or "mow lawns" as Cooper calls them. After dinner we will go on walks looking for "mow lawns" at Cooper's request. When he finds one he wants to watch it up close. This makes me feel a little strange staring at some person mowing their lawn. I don't want to be known as the "lawn mower stalkers" in our neighborhood. Thankfully we've never seen the same person twice so far. The other day Cooper was outside watching daddy mow the lawn and he wanted to help.

The smile on Cooper's face as, he helped push the "mow lawn", made the extra 10 minutes it took worth every minute!

Cooper really wanted to push the top part of the handle but he is still too short to reach it. Thank goodness or he'd probably try to mow the lawn all by himself. Or as Cooper would say, "No my do it!"

Such cut boys! Cooper was using all of his muscle strength to push the lawn mower.

Almost finished.

Since Cooper likes daddy's lawn mower so much we though we'd get him his own toy "mow lawn" to play with. It's nothing fancy but he loves to push it around. Mostly on the driveway because the wheels don't turn very well on the grass. Every time he pulls it out he says, "Daddy get your mow lawn."

Cooper is so much fun and I love the fascinations he has. He's going to be mowing the lawn before we know it. That's our little helper!

The Easter Bunny was Good to Cooper!

The Saturday before Easter we decorated eggs for the first time as a family. I found these really fun finger paints that were perfect for Cooper to use. Cooper doesn't like to get messy so it was perfect that the kit came with paint sponges to use. As suspected, Cooper would not touch the paint with his fingers. He used the sponges a few times and then ended up using a Q-tip instead.

Cooper had a blast painting all the eggs.

Easter morning when Cooper woke up he found a trail of bunny foot prints that began at his crib and led out into the living room. He was so excited about finding all the eggs he wanted to open each one right then. We finally convinced him to look for his basket and boy was he happy.

It was so big he had a hard time carrying it, but he wasn't going to let that stop him.

He immediately had to open one of the giant lollipops that was in his basket. Then he had to open the bunny marshmallows. Oh boy, all of this sugar before 7 am.

Cooper loved opening the basket Grammy Terry and Grampy Ed gave him. The bike horn was his favorite part. He would put it up to his ear and then squeak it. And that horn is loud too.
I often forget that boys love loud noises!

Still eating his sucker. I think it lasted over an hour.

His breakfast consisted of bunny marshmallows, gold fish crackers, and a rainbow lollipop.

Playing with his new Play-Doh was so fun! He loved making worms and using the scissors.

He also had a great time reading new books.

That night we went to Church and told Cooper we were going to say hi to God. His response was "God hold you." How cute. He was a well behaved boy and usually is every Sunday.

Even though it was just the three of us and a Skype call to parents it was a really fun Easter.
