Grammy Rachel's Visit

At the end of July Grammy Rachel came to visit.  Here are some of the fun things we did while she was here.

Played in the sprinklers to help cool off on a hot day.

Cooper couldn't get enough of hugs and cuddles from Grammy.

Strawberries are the best.  Messy too.

Look Mom, I'm climbing the fire pole.

Riding on the train at the farmers market
Cooper loves to sit by Grammy.

Playing on the big trains with Daddy is fun!

Swimming in the Thompson's pool.  Cooper loved riding on the big fish.

The alligator was his favorite to ride.

Hazel is showing her new shoes to Cooper but he doesn't seem to be paying attention.  He's not really into shoes unless they are fast running shoes.  Sorry Hazel, don't take it personally.  He's just a boy.

On the weekends while Grammy was here Uncle Craig came to visit.
Uncle Craig is so silly and fun to play with.  Even more fun to jump and climb on.
And he helps Cooper do all kinds of silly tricks.

Who would have thought that playing with kitchen tongs would be so much fun.  Cooper played with them for over an hour.  Good to know we have something inside our house other than the millions of toys he has that will entertain him.

We tried to go to the Pioneer Day parade but Cooper did not like it.  Or so he said.  We stayed all of 10 minutes and then had to leave because he was screaming and crying that he wanted to go home.  It may have been because he was scared his balloon was going to fly away.  I guess he didn't trust Grammy to hold on to it tight enough.

One of Cooper's favorite things to do at the park is ride in the swing.

Cooper wants to be just like the big boys and play basketball.  They were nice enough to let him take a turn shooting the ball.

When Daddy's shoulders get tired there is always Grammy's.

Holding Mommy and Daddy's hands on the walk home from the park.

Helping Grammy make Mommy's birthday cheese cake.

While cooking, it's always a good idea to taste test, especially if it's a 1/4 cup of sugar!

Cooper was good at cracking eggs.  No pieces of shells in the batter.

Cooper and Grammy driving the fire truck at the Treehouse museum.

Cooper played with the farm table for over an hour.

Paul and I went out to dinner for my birthday at the Bistro 258.  Yum!

Happy Birthday to Mommy!  Cooper loved helping me blow out the candles.  I think we sang and blew out the candles at least 3 times.

Cooper loves eating carrots right from our garden.  Too bad they did grow very big.

One day while it was raining Cooper decided he wanted to play outside.  He and Daddy are having a wagon race.

Fresh corn is the best when eaten naked.  That way you won't get your clothes messy.

Cooper loved trying to balance on the big ball all by himself.  He was actually able to stand for a second or two with no one holding him.

Ogden was the host of the international archery competition.  To open the competition they had an international food festival.  Cooper loved watching all of the dancers and eating the different kinds of food.

And of course he had to push every cross walk button.

Eating strawberry shortcake is best when eaten from Daddy's shoulders.

Happy Birthday Daddy and Aunt Olga. Yum!  More cheese cake and blowing out the candles.

  Who is that masked elephant?

Eating at Slack Water restaurant in Ogden.  What a great idea to eat dinner by the river.

Silly boys and their sun glasses!

Cooper enjoyed looking through the bridge.
Holding Daddy's hand while waking down to see the river.

Another hot day required a run through the sprinklers.  Riding on Uncle Craig's shoulders is the best way to get wet.
Cooper decided the only way he was going to get wet was if some one was holding him.  Looks like it's Aunt Olga's turn.

Two is much more fun than one.
Even mommy took a turn getting wet.
Sushi for dinner what a hit with Cooper!  He loved using the new chopsticks daddy got for him, although, he never actually could pick up the sushi by himself.
Babushka loved playing with Cooper.
Two masked bandits trying to get ready for bed.  This doesn't look like there is much sleeping going on here.

What a great visit with family.  Too bad Papi couldn't make it.  Hopefully he'll come in October for Cooper's birthday!

Summer Fun!

This summer has been tons of fun with Cooper.  I really enjoy having the summer off and being able to have mommy and Cooper time.  We have done so many fun things so far and have a few more fun activities planned before I have to go back to work.

Cooper enjoyed playing at Bounce around Utah with his friend Grayson.  Paul and I even had fun jumping around.  I felt like a kid again.

Cooper loves to play with our 80 yr. old neighbor Papi.  Papi has a remote control race car that he brings out just for Cooper to play with.

Cooper loves to eat ice cream.  It's so much fun to eat it in a cone on a hot summer day.

Cooper enjoys ice cream with daddy too!
I signed Cooper and I up for mommy and me swim lessons. We had fun playing in the water!
Cooper loved to get wet while helping mom and dad wash the cars!  It's a great activity for a hot summer day.
Cooper and Daddy goofing around at the duck pond.
Another day at the splash pad. What a fun place to spend a hot day!
Cooper loves swinging with his daddy!
Playing at the splash pad is a great way to cool off on a hot summer day.
YUMM!  Fresh corn on the cob from the farmers market!
Riding the train a the farmers market is a favorite thing for Cooper to do every Saturday.
Our neighbor gave Cooper some old toys and this lightsaber was one of them.  Cooper uses it as a weed wacker just like his daddy.

It is quite a challenge to get Cooper dressed in the mornings.  He will often run off before his shirt is put on.  On this particular morning he decided he wanted to dance on the ottoman and show off his farmer tan.

Learning to ride a bike is fun!
Cooper's bed makes a great trampoline!

Cooper loves running in the sprinklers!
Cooper's new passion is watching constructions machines at work!
Watch out daddy!  Water coming in your face!

YAY Water!

My cute boys, smiling so happy!

Cooper being silly with his necklace.  What a wonderful summer it has been so far! I don't want it to end!

Nampa Trip

Cooper loved playing the piano with Grammy Terry
A few weeks ago we went up to Nampa, ID to celebrate a late father's day with Paul's family. We had so much fun!   Here are some of the fun activities we did.
We went to the Park near Grammy T's house and Cooper had a blast playing.
He is getting very good at climbing up the ladders all by himself.
The swing is still one of his favorites!

The Burnett Family June 2011

What a cute family we are!

Cooper loved to help Grampy Ed feed Jaybez.

Cooper loved to try and play Grammy Terry's flute.
We spent the morning at the Willimson Whinery.  Cooper loved playing on this wooden truck.  Cooper loved driving and going on so many different adventures.
Cooper and his cousin Amariah.  She loved watching him play the piano.  Oh the things he could teach her.

High school friends and their kids.  How fun!

Swinging before heading down the slid.  A little scary for mom but it's great therapy for his right side.

A merry go round?! I didn't know these still existed.  Cooper had tons of fun spinning. I was getting dizzy just watching him and Paul.

Cooper thought Aunt Erin and Uncle Micky were fun to walk with when they held his hands and swung him in the air.
Playing with daddy's old toys was fun.  Construx make great airplanes helicopters and backhoes.  They also make a great big mess!

Aunt Erin and Cooper.  He's actually sitting still long enough to sit on her lap so Paul could take a picture.
Feeding Jaybez again!

Baked Alaska! What a great dessert.  This was Terry's idea and even though it took several hours to make it was worth the wait!

Thanks Burnetts for a fun weekend!

The Cutest Smile

Cooper is learning that when daddy takes a picture you say "cheese" and smile. Although he understand this concept he rarely does it and often looks away from the camera. Paul recently bought a new camera and Cooper has been interested in it and trying it out. Paul was able to catch two cute smiles before Cooper ran away.

What a handsome boy!

He is such a ham!

Getting All Wet

Friday night Paul turned on the sprinkler to water our front lawn. Cooper saw it outside and thought it would be fun to play with the water. It looks like he had a blast.

He looks like he's trying to water our neighbors house.

Holding the sprinkler was fun, although he couldn't figure out how to put it down and needed some help.

What a face!

Another cute smile for the camera!

Gotta lick the dripping snot. Gross!

Screaming and running away.

Cooper had a great time running through the sprinklers on a hot summer day.
